Welcome to 8th grade science and your last year of middle school! My name is Ms. Chaudoir, and I am looking forward to being your teacher for the upcoming school year! I already love the Hawkins community and can tell it is a truly special place. I am very excited to get to know all of you and guide you through your last year at Hawkins. It is a new year and you all get to start off with a clean slate. I hope you all put your best foot forward. You are all the leaders now and set the example for the rest of the school- make it a positive one!
Since I am new to the community, I would like to introduce myself. I have been working with students the past 4 years down in Southern California. Prior to coming here, I taught at Bridges Charter School, which has a community feel and ideology very similar to Hawkins. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biological Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara before obtaining my teaching credential through Cal State University, Los Angeles. I have a little dog named Atticus that loves to walk on the beach and go camping with me. I also love to cook and explore new areas since I am relocating back to the area after ten years down south.
Finally, I want you to know that one of my most important goals this year is to keep the lines of communication open with you. I am available every day to talk with you before or after school and Wednesdays at lunch by appointment, and you are invited to e-mail me with any questions or concerns you may have. To help me get to know you a little better, I would love any information you think would help me support your learning/happiness this school year and what you need from me to help you succeed.
Look forward to hearing from you,
