School Meals

Jefferson Elementary School District participates in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) under the Provision 2 program. Because of this, families do not need to complete a school meal application for their child to receive free school meals.

Universal Benefits Application

Families who wish to be considered for SUN Bucks, also known as Summer EBT, and believe they may qualify based on household income must complete the Universal Benefits Application (UBA).

The UBA is separate from the Alternative Income Form and is used only to determine eligibility for SUN Bucks benefits.

Children ages 6–18 receiving CalFresh or CalWORKs are streamlined certified to be eligible for SUN Bucks and do not need to complete the UBA. Some children receiving Medi-Cal may also be automatically eligible for SUN Bucks. However, if you do not receive CalFresh or CalWORKs, CDSS recommends that you apply.
